Terms of sale.

Plain terms for a small studio. If anything here is unclear, write before you order and we will explain it.

Orders

This site is a catalogue. An order is confirmed when we reply by email with the piece, colour, price and delivery date, and you accept that reply. No payment is taken before that confirmation. Prices are in US dollars and do not include import duty, VAT or local taxes.

Handmade variation

Every piece is made by hand from dyed silk over copper wire. Colour, petal shape and size vary slightly between pieces, and the photographs on this site show the type of piece rather than an exact unit. That variation is part of the craft, not a defect.

Lead times

In-stock pieces leave the studio in two to four days. Made-to-order pieces take the lead time shown on the product page; a bridal crown takes four to five weeks. Delivery time is separate and depends on the courier and customs.

Returns and repairs

In-stock pieces can be returned within 14 days of delivery, unworn and in the original box. Made-to-order and commissioned pieces are final sale. If a piece arrives damaged, send photographs within 48 hours and we will repair or replace it. See shipping and returns for the practical detail.

Use of images and text

Photographs, drawings and text on this site belong to Silk & Wire. You are welcome to share them with credit; please do not use them in commercial listings without asking.

The Silk Circle

Membership is free and begins when you open an account. The tier is worked out from lifetime spend on goods, after any discount and excluding shipping; the automatic tier discount applies to later orders. Points have no cash value and cannot be transferred. They are earned on paid orders, on a shared invitation and when a friend joins with your link, and are redeemed only through the coupon catalogue in your account. Coupons are single use, carry an expiry date and a minimum order, and only one coupon can be used per order. We may change the programme, its thresholds and the catalogue; changes apply to future orders, and a coupon already issued keeps the terms it was issued with.
